“After having continuous struggles with my workouts for almost 6 months due to lower back pain, Tina’s offer to complete the complimentary movement assessment couldn’t have come at a better time. She could tell I had tried everything from PT to chiropractic and nothing was helping. "I was struggling with persistent hip and shoulder pain due to earlier injuries that never seemed to get better. I was certain I was going to end up hurting myself at the gym because I wasn’t confident making adjustments to prescribed movements. I contacted Tina in hopes that she might have some suggestions, not realizing how big of an impact she would actually have. Tina assessed what was going on with my mobility and flexibility and the contributing factors that could impede my movement and my pain is now gone. I did a mix of private one-on-one sessions while still partaking in group classes. She developed exercises and stretches to help me get stronger and challenge myself without getting hurt. “I have been fitness coached by Tina since late 2014 and life coached since February 2018. She has been tremendously helpful to me as I try to navigate my retirement and reinvestment in my physical conditioning. When I started working with Tina I needed to make some goals for myself and she was awesome in helping me set what I wanted to work on. At 71 years old, first and foremost I wanted to be strong. She helped me start a fitness program which has led me to regain some weight bearing ability. I wanted to lose some weight. I now weigh 5 pounds less than before. It is really slow going on this count but she helps me maintain patience. I wanted to start some creative projects and she has kept me accountable with those projects as well. I wanted to meditate 5 days a week. I got myself a calendar and recorded my progress. It is now a daily event of just 5 minutes but it happens. I wanted to have a fitness routine. On my calendar I do two days of 3 mile runs and two days of strength training. I can see some muscles now that I didn’t have before. I completely enjoy working with Tina. She is a woman who is wise beyond her years and puts a new spin on things that help me to move forward. She helps me to feel that I am not over the hill yet, more like “On top of the hill".
